President Uhuru Kenyatta’s motorcade allegedly killed an 80-year-old man after the convoy ran over him and his 24-year-old grandson at Lutunyi area, Kakamega County during the president's visit yesterday.

The old man died on the spot as his son was rushed to Kakamega Hospital with serious injuries.

The accident happened when the two were aboard a bicycle and was reported at Kakamega police station. The enraged residents apparently wanted to burn down the vehicle, but they were overpowered by police.
