Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has been trending on social media after a video of him speaking to delegates in an American accent went viral.

The Governor was addressing participants at the just concluded #BlueEconomyKE  conference at the KICC.

He has been mercilessly mocked for his tweng.

As the conference was coming to an end, the governor disclosed that he adopted the American twang while delivering his speech to impress the international delegation that gathered in Nairobi for the Blue Economy Conference.

He adds,

 Wageni kutoka nchi mbali mbali, hao huwa wanafurahi tuki tweng kama hao..

The governor pronounced words like city as “cirry” and President Uhuru Kenyatta’s name as “Kenyarra”.
