WEEKS after our neighbours in Uganda re- elected Mr. Kaguta Museveni as their preferred leader once more, there are unconfirmed reports of brutality and killings of innocent citizens in that country.

The heartless actions are being condemned by people throughout the world, including Kenya's Sadat Muhindi - the big guy behind the energetic gospel singer Papa Dennis. Sadat, who is also the founder of the Maliza Umaskini Foundation (an NGO), has fired shots at Museveni, saying that M7 doesn't care for human life.

He says, "As much as we condemn Museveni government for human rights violation, which is true, he doesn't care about human life and democracy. On this case I can't really blame the army for shooting those guys down. It was done under self defense situation which I believe maybe they would be dead too. Let's our youth in Africa be adviced that violence is not solution to our problems and never provoke an armed person."

He was responding to a video that allegedly showed Ugandan police officers shooting at a civilian and killing him in Hima town in Kasese District, Western Uganda.
