police arrest crime

Police have arrested two men in connection to the murder of a six-year-old girl in Kyuasini village, Kaiti Sub County.

County Police Commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan said Frederick Mbindyo (17) and Peter Musyoki (40) an ex-convict were arrested following a tip-off from the members of the public.

“An anonymous note that had been posted on a wall of a shop in the nearby Kitoondoni market revealed the body of the girl had been dumped in a pit latrine in one of the suspect’s homestead,” said the County Commander.

Naipeyan said the suspects killed the minor, a pupil at a local nursery school who had been reported missing since September 9, after defiling her and stashed the body in a plastic container before dumping it in the 15 feet deep pit latrine.

The County Commander said the suspects were currently being held at the Makueni police station and would be arraigned in court tomorrow.
