Floviance Razan Owino was convicted of drug-related offenses and is set to face the hangman’s noose in Beijing, China.
Ms Owino had been missing for two years and her relatives were only notified last week that she had been arrested for drug trafficking and had remained incarcerated in a chinese jail for that period. The family was informed that their kin only has a few days left before she is hanged.
Kenyans on Twitter have started a campaign with the hashtag #FreeMsOwino calling on the government to intervene.
