A sombre mood engulfed Lifunga village, Ugenya constituency, Siaya County as hundreds of mourners thronged Chris Msando's home to bid goodbye to their hero who was killed a few weeks ago and his body dumped in Kikuyu area.

Many eulogized Msando as a humble and caring man and in her glowing tribute to the late husband, Eva said Msando loved and cherished his family and his departure has left a big vacuum.

"CHRISTOPHER, OSIEPA, I HAVE NO WORDS TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO US. THIS IS TOO SUDDEN, TOO SOON. WHAT I CAN ASSURE YOU IS TAHT YOUR LEGACY WILL LIVE ON IN YOUR BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN AND YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, THAT I PROMISE. YOU ARE MY HERO, MY FRIEND AND FOREVER WILL BE. REST IN PEACE UNTIL WHEN WE MEET ON THE BEAUTIFUL SHORE," read Eva's tribute.

Msando whose body was found in Karura forest and taken to City Mortuary had gone missing for three days.

"Viva Chris Msando, viva, viva, rest in peace my husband," these were Eva Buyu's last words to her her husband as they laid him to rest on Saturday.
