There was a light moment at the state funeral of late Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli on Monday, when mourners noticed that one of the translators may not have translated the right thing.

Well, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa's speech has gone viral in Tanzania for that specific reason. Memes have been made as Tanzanians have made fun of that moment.

Comedian Idris Sultan in a funny post said that he was relocating to another country

"Ndugu watanzania wenzangu, si kwa mapenzi nawaambia hili ila kwa uchungu na maumivu yalioupa moyo wangu uzito sana. Naihama Tanzania na kuhamia baharini, si kwa mapenzi bali kwa fedheha na sonono niliyopata katika ukalimani huu ambao sio ukali kabisa ni UMANI tu labda 😂😂😂"

He went on to say that he didn't know what he was going to tell Kenyans since this was going to be used in the Kenyan Vs Tanzanian fights on social media

"Sijui kama tutaweza kuwaelezea hili jambo wakenya wakatuelewa 🤣🤣🤣 Things have biten another one each other eaten (mambo yameumana)"

In his speech, Ramaphosa said;

Magufuli was not a great traveller, he didn’t travel very much, he prefers to stay at home

This was the translator's words

Magufuli alikuwa ni mtu imara mwenye upendo ambae alipenda kusikiliza pia na kuweza kutoa Muongozo kwa wenzake’
