Chris Kirubi's Mercedes Maybach which was parked right at the entrance of Two Rivers Mall during its launch on Friday, February 17 sparked a debate on social media as to whether or not its the most expensive ride in Kenya.

In a bid to separate fact from fiction, we decided to come up with a list of the most pricey vehicles in the country to see whether it would feature anywhere in the big boys club.

Without further ado, here are 12 of the most expensive cars in the 254:

1. Lamborghini Aventador - Sh55,000,000

Ugandan billionaire Katsha De'Bank decided to ship his gold coated Lamborghini Aventador through Kenya sometime in 2015,  this means that the car has been on Kenyan roads.

Ordinarily, this ride costs Sh30 million, but with the gold customization its price goes up to Sh50 million.

2. Bentley Mulsanne - Sh45,000,000

A Kenyan imported a Bentley Mulsanne in January this year. The car's value is estimated at Sh40 million and Sh50 million after tax. Lanes, huh?

3. Mercedes Maybach S600 - Sh43,000,000

SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri made netizens green with envy in December 2016 after his Mercedes Maybach S600 was seen making its way through the streets of Nairobi.

The vehicle is said to cost between Sh40 million and Sh45 million after tax. This is without factoring in the cost of its customized plates. Put aside another Sh1 million.

4. Mercedes Maybach S550 - Sh40,000,000

Billionaire Chris Kirubi's Mercedes Maybach which has elicited a heated debate over the last few days comes in fourth place.

The car set him back anything between Sh40,000,000 and Sh45,000,000 after taxes. Its' customized plates cost an extra Sh1 million.

5. Rolls Royce Phantom - Sh36,000,000

Samia Barry, who owns a popular local club, is said to be the owner of the car whose price is estimated at Sh36 million after tax.

6. Rolls Royce Ghost - Sh30,000,000

The car that is said to cost the upwards of Sh30 million was shipped into Kenya in 2015. Its still unclear who owns it to date.

7. Aston Martin DB9 GT - Sh29,000,000

It was spotted on Kenyan roads sometime in 2015. It caused a lot of controversy after some sections of the media reported that it belongs to the son of a well-known public figure.

It costs anything between Sh26 million and 35million after tax.

8. Mercedes SLS AMG - Sh25,000,000

It goes without saying that the Mercedes SLS AMG is one of the most expensive cars in the country. It reportedly costs the upwards of Sh25 million.

9. Range Rover Sport HSE 2016 - Sh24,000,000

Flashy lawyer Donald Kipkorir made headlines sometime in 2016 after sharing photos of his state-of the-art Range Rover HSE 2016. The car which bears the customized number plates "DBK 007" cost him Sh24,000,000.

10. Lamborghini Murcielago - Sh20,000,000

If you live in Nairobi, chances are you have seen this car. Sources say it belongs to a lad by the name Samia Barry. The ride set him back a cool Sh20 million.

11. BMW i8 - Sh18,000,000

The BMW i8 that is owned by Kevin Mulei, Groove Awards Founder, is the first of its kind in Kenya. A brand new one will set you back anything between Sh15 million ans Sh20 million after tax.

12. Nissan GTR - Sh15,000,000

Not so long ago, a Nissan GTR, which is widely believed to be a 2015 version, was seen on Kenyan roads. It reportedly costs Sh15 million!
