Yesterday as President Uhuru Kenyatta was being sworn, a section of Embakasi was on 'fire'. Roads were impassible and businesses brought to a standstill. NASA/NRM supporters were involved in running battles with police officers after their rally which was slated for Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi was aborted.

NASA leaders had announced that they would hold a mass for the departed souls who were killed in recent protests but the venue was taken over by heavily armed police officers prompting opposition supporters to engage them in running battles.

A seven-year-old boy was shot dead during the fracas at Pipeline estate, Embakasi. He was playing on the balcony of his father's apartment while elsewhere a pregnant woman was also shot with many other women savagely attacked by the police.
