Writer Richard Muema, who was shot seven times in Kasarani by an armed robber is back on his feet after being admitted in the hospital for almost two months.
Muema, a freelance writer was shot trying to help a shopkeeper friend, who had been attacked by robbers.
The father of two was left in a critical condition and was admitted to Kenyatta national hospital where he stayed in the medical facility’s ICU for sometime before he was discharged mid-January.
Muema shared a post narrating the horrifying experience he went through, saying it was traumatizing.
The Trauma that I went through was unbelievable, and the Healing was as unbelievable…I thank everyone who’s been always there for me🙏🙏.
In another post, while talking about gun violence, he wrote,
If life is for living, then why is man still killing…#SayNoToGunViolence.
The writer also revealed that seeking justice has been hard despite the evidence all over
Sometimes I don’t recognize this country, I didn’t see nothing very interesting when a man makes their time to hurt another innocent man using their arsenal and the way to seek justice becomes bumpy while the evidence is still trending in social media..#LordGodHaveMercy.
