Family, friends and fans of the late NTV Uganda journalist Resty Namawejje yesterday bid her goodbye. The burial took place in bayita-Ababiri on Entebbe Road, in a Kabale village.

She and two other women among them Miss Tourism North Atim Norah  perished in a road accident on July 4th after the car they were traveling in was involved in a grisly road accident.

The team was traveling to a regional Miss Tourism event when the vehicle's driver jumped out after it lost control. The driver was trying to overtake when the car veered off the road and rolled into a swamp.

Resty worked with NTV as an assistant producer for NTV Login. During the burial, her uncle, Mr. Michael Mukwaya said that "she was greatly involved in family meetings and other activities. She will surely be missed."

The surviving occupants were rushed to Mulago Hospital with severe injuries and are currently receiving medication.
