Xenophobia is having or showing a dislike or prejudice against people from other countries. That's exactly what's happening in South Africa following King Goodwill Zwelithini who asked remarks that all foreigners in South Africa must pack their thing and leave. His comment fuelled the xenophobic attacks across South Africa, mostly in Durban. (Check out some of the gory images below)

“We are requesting those who come from outside to please go back to their countries...The fact that there were countries that played a role in the country’s struggle for liberation should not be used as an excuse to create a situation where foreigners are allowed to inconvenience locals. I know you were in their countries during the struggle for liberation. But the fact of the matter is you did not set up businesses in their countries,” - King Goodwill Zwelithini

1. Big Ted

"It's sad that our colour and blood is now our biggest enemy ..what about Corruption, insecurity ,good health,we have absconded from the barracks of life to fight the thing that gives us live ourselves. I call on my brothers and sisters in SA to come back to themselves and seek God. Because God is love, and when you love God you must love the things that God loves; your fellow man."

2. DJ Creme

" To be honest ..no level of frustration or anger can justify the barbaric attacks and violence. SA has a dark past that it's been trying to run away from, that is Racism. It's just sad that the country wants to add Xenophobia as another title to its beautiful country. They shouldn't forget the far they've come .. I stand with SouthAfrica in Prayer !!"

3. Pierra Makena

"To be honest it's such a shame that this is happening it tells us that apartheid never left, just different players.

And it's unfortunate that leaders don't know that they hold so much power to influence people. Hence, they should be very careful about what they say to their people. (referring to the comment by that king) about foreigners packing and leaving.

2nd let's not ignore these people who are doing this. What is the root of all this?? Anywhere you have more humans in an enclosed territory than resources to meet their needs; all sorts of violent social pathologies begin to emerge. It is the nature of the human beast as someone said."

4. Xtatic

"I am deeply saddened by what is happening especially because after facing apartheid I expect the unity within Africans in SA To be stronger than start killing/torturing their own race.

Africa is confused for a country, and it's because people often see it like is represents us all as one.

It's something I didn't expect and something I feel angry about thinking about it.

I know it's not everyone doing it but I feel the government should look to execute those doing it and get more security on the ground in the notorious places because this is murder in itself, there shouldn't be no reason any human supports it, whether no jobs or whatever these murderers feel justifies killing another human ,it's plain HOMICIDE"

5. DJ Joe Mfalme

"At this day and age in South Africa. It's reached a point where SA; the whites and black are all South Africans. Just like in the states; the whites and blacks are both Americans, and I'm sure those foreigners have had a big role in the development of the country."

6. Kenzo

"It's sad that black men can actually kill each other because they are scared that other Africans will their job. The last time I heard of this was... I can't even remember... Africans we are known to be loving and caring. It is down-heartening to see that is happening in one of the most developed countries in Africa. May God help us.
