Media personality Carol Radull spoke about the complicated condition that Kenyan boxing champion Conjestina Achieng is in.

Speaking on with Kalondu Musyimi, Radull explained, "Conjestina is a bit of a complicated case it has been more than a decade where she hasn't been okay.

"When I met her you could tell she was very angry with life. She is someone who has been forgotten. She comes from a point where she was lauded by fans, politicians and everyone really, then nothing. Her fall from grace was so fast. Today she is lauded tomorrow she is nothing this has affected her."

Adding,

"Looking at her, she has lost so much weight she is a loner and speaks in an aggressive tone. I'm trying to get people who can assess her situation. In the past people have raised money and taken her to rehab, others paid her rent for three years but 7 months down the line she disappeared and went back to her rural home in Yala.

Radull advised,

"To help her fully, one needs to find out why other initiatives failed and what can be done. We need tangible results, what happened with rehab, what is the resolution if you have not talked to the family?"

She continued,

"I'm in touch with the family to see how she can be helped."

Asked if sportsmen mismanage their money when they are at the hilt of their careers? Radull noted,

"There is a misconception that Kenyan sportspeople have money, They don't. We get the glory but no money, we win trophies as teams. The little they get there is no guidance on how to use the money."

Adding,

"In Conjestina's case, she did not make a lot of money. Most of our sportspeople don't have money, they have bills and they have trophies. I would not criticize some of the sports personalities who have not been investing because they don't have money."
