Kenya is mourning the loss of one of it's great news icons; Ahmed Darwesh. The KTN Swahili news anchor passed away last night after a long battle with diabetes. Darwesh was among the few competent media personalities and will be remembered for his mastery of the Swahili language.

The local entertainment industry has indeed lost a great person, and the question Kenyans are asking themselves is who is going to replace Darwesh?

His body arrived in Mombasa this morning where he will be laid to rest and below are some of the photos;
