The father to Kenyan comedian, Herman Gakobo Kago, popularly known as Professor Hamo was finally laid to rest at his home in Lanet, Nakuru County on Wednesday, October 12th.

A funeral service was held at St. Peter's Catholic church before the mourners proceeded to the graveside to bid farewell to the deceased.

James Wachira - a former soldier - died on Wednesday, 5th October after suffering a heart attack. Veteran comedian Daniel "Churchill" Ndambuki broke the news of his passing while condoling with the deceased's family.

The service was attended by various Kenyan celebrities including, Churchill, MC Jessy, Wakimani Ogutu, Shixx Kapienga, Othuol Othuol, Otoyo Sibuour among others.

Before his passing, together with his wife, Mr. Wachira surprised their son on Father's Day during the live recording of Churchill Show.

Professor Hamo was dumbfounded when he found out that his parents were part of the crowd that he was entertaining. They were later called on stage and the comedian almost shed tears.
