Hessy wa Kayole is known for his inhuman methods off eliminating thugs. But he is not all cold hearted as he gives thugs a chance to reform before he deals with them.

A reformed thug has opened up about how Hessy Wa Kayole sent him a chilling message after they shot a pregnant woman operating an Mpesa shop over ksh 201.

In an interview with Plive the reformed thug identified as Kevo says that growing up in Dandora affected his upbringing since there was a lot of peer pressure to get involved in the trade.

He adds, "The temptation to get involved in crime was very high since it was easy money and lots of clubbing and having fun, the thought of going home to sleep on an empty stomach gave me the motivation I needed to jump start my career as a thug

"We mostly targeted people who were traveling in matatus especially coming from the rural sides. Having managed my first mission without getting caught gave me the adrenaline I needed to carry out my next mission."

With time Kevo and the group started using guns which were either home made or rented out by policemen in exchange for a share of the loot. But his turning point came after Hessy Wa Kayole sent him a  chilling message .

"I mostly used a knife and i have hurt many ,i may never know if they died or not. My turning point came one day after we went to an Mpesa shop and asked for Money but the lady was hesitant to give it to us. We had already done our research and knew she had money."

"My friend was the one holding the gun and the worst thing is that he was high on drugs that night, when the woman refused to give us money my friend shot her and she fell to the floor bleeding. She was pregnant and she cried a lot before dying, it is something that will haunt me for life"

After that incident Kevo reformed and he is currently trying to educate his friends on the dangers of crime.
