At around 4pm yesterday, a man who was acting suspiciously was arrested at a perimeter wall checkpoint at the Garden City Mall. According to a statement released by the Mall, the man upon being searched was found to be carrying a small, hand-held device. The Mall security then called the police and anti-terrorism unit.

Three men were taken in for questioning after it was confirmed that it was a live device. A press release from the Inspector General of police said that the device was not an IED but an amateurish collection of phones wire taped to each other to look like an IED. A state of normalcy has since returned to the establishment.

The President was supposed to officially open the mall today and it is unclear whether the opening ceremony will still take place.
