Team Sarakasi Trust yesterday visited Kangemi Primary School and gave the kids there a fun time. It was a Sexual Gender Based Violence awareness campaign to educate the children on the subject.

This kind of violence is one of the most prominent in the country; with cases of child defilement going unattended at alarming rates. The UN estimates that one out of three women experience sexual violence in their lifetime.

This is due to underreporting or corruption that is clogging the legal system.

In an interesting storytelling fashion, the team used puppets to tell the kids how they can be exposed to offenders without realizing it. Sarakasi Trust's Catherine talked about the importance of speaking out and not feeling shy when it comes to reporting such cases.

To make the day a success, Sarakasi's acrobats treated the kids to a thrilling experience.
