Many of my colleagues from primary school would agree with me that Mathematics was a dreaded topic, partly because of the 'inhumane' teacher. He used to beat us up for the slightest mistake.
I am however proud of him despite the caning since Math has been a crucial part of my life.
Recently, some guys who had sent a GoPro camera to the edge of space back in 2013 made a groundbreaking discovery. They had attached the camera and cellphone to a weather balloon and pushed it to a certain trajectory. When it landed, they expected the cellphone to make a call (they had programmed it) since it was within network range; back on earth.
They had made a mistake in calculating the trajectory and never heard from the experiment until recently. A hiker spotted the camera and cellphone. She traced them using the SIM information and two years on, they are glad to have made a successful experiment. Many thanks to the lady, who works with AT&T, a large telecom company in the U.S.
