Whenever you think of manambas, what do you think? If I am to be honest, I think of the stench of sweat at 5am on a Monday morning. I think of bad breath and, an even more foul attitude.

But as always there are exceptions to the rule. Whenever BuruBuru manambas come up, I think of faux-silver teeth and even faker jewellery. But atleast these ones smell of toilet freshener deodorant. Just don't buy into the dazzle, they have even worse attitudes than the rest.

Rarely is anything positive ever said about manambas and with good reason. These guys are always looking for a fight and have a nasty penchant for stiffing you of your change. But I must say there is a ray of hope that I have found. A ray of hope that must be shared.

The rose that grows out of the crack in the concrete is even more beautiful. The beauty it gives the world around it worth celebrating even more.

I came across some photos of a lass who is a makanga on some Eastlands bound route and my word, she is stunning.

And the fact that she has chosen the rough and tumble of making an honest living rather than looking for a sponsor is profoundly impressive. Check out the petite lass of whom I speak on the next page:
