Just a few months after Mobius, the Kenyan made all terrain vehicle was unveiled, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) has unveiled a locally made laptop which has been branded the name "Taifa."

Vice Chancellor Prof. Mabel Imbuga says that the varsity is currently installing a multipurpose assembly line at the Juja based Nairobi Industrial and Technology park to facilitate the assembly of the new laptop and other devices. So, the materials were sourced from outside the country and assembled in Kenya.
