Ghanian hiphop rapper Sarkodie has announced his readiness to release his fourth album, titled ‘Mary’. Sarkodie was awarded with Best African Act of the year at the Headies  and he is considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto dance which is loved by millions of his fans across the world. His new album is said to be a tribute to his late grandmother, who had always wanted him to record live music but passed away.

The rapper made the announcement on his official tweeter handle. See what he wrote:

"Took me 2 years to record this Album * Mary * .... Didn't tweet or talk about it cos I needed Time, patience and a sound mind to record #NoPressure . Thank God I finally wrapped up. Mary is named after my late GrandMa who always wanted me to record live music but couldn't live to see me do it... may her soul rest in peace. All instruments on this album was recorded Live!!! Thanks to the genius Akwaboah who worked on this project with me... As an artist it is very important to challenge yourself and I'm proud I did .. I know my fans will love this project and appreciate it due the amount work and effort that went into it... documented the whole studio sessions and promise to share with yall!!! God bless teamsark.
