Seven suspects who were arrested for using the name of President Uhuru Kenyatta and receiving money over a land deal have been charged.

Joseph Waswa, who captured public interest and his accomplices, were released each on a cash bail of Sh100,000.

  1. He's married

He is married to one Moreen Tabitha. He paid dowry for his wife in 2017 worth Sh5 million. Waswa awakened the quite village of and his friends arrived in four choppers to pay his wife's dowry.

4. Lived large

His opulent lifestyle left many green with envy. From showing off stacks of cash online, flaunting expensive cars to sharing photos in fancy places, Waswa lived like a king.

In  2015, he left revellers at a top club in Westlands praising him after he bought beer worth over Sh135,000 for them.

5. Arrested over student's murder

In 2014, Waswa was arrested and arraigned at the Bungoma High Court on charges of murdering Mombasa University student Mitch Barasa Kibiti.

The slain student was the son of a former Bungoma chief officer David Kibiti.

Waswa shot dead Mitch at his hotel in Kimilili while he was celebrating his birthday with friends.

Despite engaging in crime, he appears to love his family. His social media accounts are filled with photos of his wife and kids.
