A Kenyan called Joyce Wanjiku has sent an open letter calling out a club in Eldoret that hosted a party even after the CS of health Mutahi Kagwe outlawed it.

With the coronavirus pandemic, clubbing and public gatherings have been deemed illegal.

Joyce told Mpasho, "As a kenyan citizen living far from home I am concerned about my Kenyan brothers and sisters. Especially with the COVID-19 pandemic, this is why I am reporting this to anyone with a voice to help warn such establishments like the Relax Inn Hotel in Eldoret."

Joyce points out that they "hosted a party in honor of Kenny Rogers. I get that he was a legend I respect. They posted on Instagram and I immediately commented letting them know that this way punishable by law because they are compromising the lives of people in other words public endangerment."

She continued, "Well I ended up being blocked, I did take a screenshot to prove it. Eldoret is where my entire family is. Since there is nothing I can do from this end. The best I can do is reach out to anyone who can help."

She added, "Please help me warn the public this disease is killing people it's not a joke and we Africans we are not immune to it. And no it's not a winter disease so even those in warmer climates can be infected. Help me help my people because ignorance will finish us all."

She shared the screenshot with Mpasho.
