When it comes to matters of the heart who better to give advice than Chito Ndhlovu? In an interview with Mpasho’s Kalondu Musyimi, Chito broke the hearts of many by claiming that the 'one' doesn't exist and is a Walt Disney narrative found in the books of Cinderella, Snow white and the likes.

Chito went ahead to add that an individual chooses the one but does not go about finding or waiting for the one, claiming that this is the very reason why there are so many single ladies in Nairobi. “There is no such thing as the ‘one’.” emphasized the presenter.

Still on the topic of when the right time to move in with a partner is, Chito was firm on his word. For the Kiss FM presenter, the right time to make such a decision is when one is married because you are financially and emotionally prepared.

This drew mixed reactions from fans, with many defending their come we stay situations, while a good number were in total agreement. For Chito the whole narrative of those dating moving in together before marriage is because of influence from Hollywood movies that we copy.

The vocal presenter emphasized on honesty in a relationship as a key point when dealing with the moving in together issue. For him it is perfectly fine as long as couples make their intentions and expectations clear but that marrying before is preferable.

Chito also advised couples not to spend their life saving on an expensive wedding yet there are cheaper solutions such as civil weddings to make the relationship official.

The media personality speaking to Kalondu said that it is very easy for a man to know whom he wants to spend the rest of his life with and the decision cannot be influenced by a woman. For Chito, a woman cannot make a man be ready to settle down,

'Ready is not when society says you are ready, ready is when you are ready,'Chito advised men.

One fan threw a question at the presenter on whether it is alright for a couple to move into a woman’s place than the usual tradition of moving into a man’s house. Just like his fellow Kiss Fm presenter Jalang’o, Chito viewed the situation from a traditional point of view, preferring couples to follow the traditional way of settling in a man’s place.
