Gospel artiste Ruth Matete and her husband pastor John Apewajoye were a true definition of couple goals.

The couple tied the knot in November 2019 but death has separated them.

On Saturday night, John passed succumbed to injuries after he sustained after a gas cylinder accident.

John and his wife were happily married and in his last post on April 2, the man of God penned a sweet message to his wife, thanking her for being a great partner.

Thank you, my love, for being a wife and not a knife. We have a great future ahead of us. Let's keep on pushing and serving God together. He shall surely reward us.

Ruth responded and she wrote,

Aaaawwww💞💞💞 I love you my love. Yes we have a great future ahead.
