After getting saved, Akothee is moving to Europe.
The multitalented singer is having a concert at Uhuru Gardens this weekend to say goodbye to her fans in Kenya. In a candid interview with Mpasho.co.ke, she said;
We’re having a concert on the 14th and I have all the support from all the celebrities. THE REASON as to why I’m having this concert during the day is because I am moving to Europe because my family is there. Oyoo and Ojwang (her sons) need me.
She said the entrance fee will be channelled to her Turkana kitty.
its all CHARITY RELIEF FUND FOR areas affected by drought in Nothern parts of Kenya. And we are trying to look for a longterm solution, whereby trying to build boreholes, put up medical and rescue centres so that our people are able to see some hope.
The event is also to put smiles to the faces of hunger-stricken Kenyans.
She went ahead to explain,
So I wanna perform for you for the last time here because I know I have fans who can’t come to the club.
Some of the big names in the industry expected to perform at the concert are Nameless, Khaligraph Jones, Victoria Kimani, Musa Jakadala, DJ Sadiq, DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Mo, Dr Ofweneke, King’ori, Bahati, Willy Paul among others.
Talking about her latest song Baraka featuring Tanzanian artiste Linex, she said:
It’s a special song to all the parents. A child is a responsibility to both parties whether born in poverty or riches.
She said she met Linex on Instagram. Linex is famously known for his hit song Salima featuring Diamond Platinumz.
Her legacy she says is to create a positive impact on my society. I thank God for the position I am in because I have done a lot which even the country doesn’t know. That’s why I always pat myself on the back when I wake up.
