Even as Keroche heiress Tecra Muigai, is planning to be interred in a private family ceremony, the cause of her death is still being investigated.

According to a preliminary autopsy report, Tecra lost her life after sustaining injuries on the left side of her head.

People Daily reports that Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor, who conducted the autopsy at Nairobi’s Lee Funeral Home on Tuesday, said the injuries are consistent with a fall down the stairs.

Detectives investigating the death claim Tecra fell in her home in Shela, Lamu.

Tecra was found unresponsive at the bottom of the staircase leading to their cottage by neighbours who woke up her boyfriend, Omar Lali.

He was still asleep unaware that his girlfriend lay unconscious at their staircase.

The investigations are still underway. Omar is still in police custody.
