Mpasho News is undoubtedly the best lifestyle and entertainment website in Kenya. It has the most fabulous team comprised of witty hunks and gorgeous ladies. Since its inception in September, the site has been consistent in breaking exclusive news, interviewing Kenyan and international A-list celebrities. How have the guys behind the vibrant business done this?

As the Fashion Writer, one of the most important things that I always do is to make sure that I am well informed most of the time. I follow both international and local public figures, publications and read a lot of magazines and watch concrete fashion documentaries. Early in the morning, I wake up at around 4.30 a.m to read through till 6 a.m.

That's when I hit the shower, take breakfast and head to work. Reading prepares me for the day; I get a lot of story leads to follow and write about.

The other team members shared their tidbits too, some of which were actually surprising!

Uncle Chim Tuna

"I meditate in the morning, from like 4 till 4.30. Strictly meditation. I reflect on my tasks for the day, possible challenges that may arise and how I will surmount them. Basically what I'll be working on during the day. The other thing I meditate on is drawing positive energy from the universe, which is probably why I am a morning person. I am more bubbly in the morning compared to the rest of the day," he says.

Chim is known for some of the most hard-hitting pieces on Mpasho News. An example is the list of the celebrity cry babies of Kenya. He describes himself as "God's chosen blogger."

Kijo Muraya

"I start off my day with a hot cup of steamy Kenyan tea. Tea is my thing, it's just the way to go. Not even coffee," she opens up.

She describes herself as a realist; she speaks out her mind. Kijo has been with Mpasho News for one and a half months now.

Chege Miati

"I listen to music. It's either reggae or hiphop. I don't have the time to watch a movie and music wakes up my mind," he says.

Chege is our internet marketer. Chege studied Computer Science at Catholic University of East Africa and graduated -you guessed it, honours. He likes traveling and networking events. He's the guy behind Mpasho's noticeably vibrant online presence. He makes those witty captions on our social media pages.

Caren Nyota

"I just do ten sit-ups before I shower. I'm watching my weight so I have to do it. I do ten sit-ups before I got to bed too," the investigative journalism guru opens up.

She has done some of the most mind-blowing pieces in recent times. This has prompted other online publications to jump onto her ideas shamelessly. The most recent being an investigative on how Nairobi beggars are duping unsuspecting citizen's into funding their lives yet they are leading better lives thank the Kenyans they con. Some run businesses!

Kwarula Otieno (Vince)

"First of all each and every day - and I mean each and every day - I wake up at three. The reason why I wake up at that time is that I'm a morning person. I'm able to plan for the day. Actually, I pray first! That's what I do, then plan what I would like to do for the day and the next day. So yeah, that's what makes me ready for the day," he says.

Vince describes himself as the ambassador of ratchetness. Watch out for him at events as you may be caught on camera doing what you wouldn't do at the office!
