I can understand that when you decide to take up the vocation of teaching, sometimes, just sometimes, you have agreed to take on hardships associated with certain areas. However, no one signs on to put their life directly at risk.

Yet that seems to be the situation if this post by the relative of a teacher is to be believed. In said post, it is alleged that teachers in Mandera and the rest of Kenya's Northern areas are constantly fearful for their lives.

The teacher alleged even getting threatened by his students when on one occasion, his student whom he caught cheating in an exam threatened to shoot him in the buttocks. Check out the teachers statements below:
