Zari and Diamond Platnumz had a relationship that was marked by drama, excitement and intrigue.
The two met in 2014 and had a whirlwind romance that set standards for celebrity couples.
It is a testament to their effervescent relationship that I am still writing about them. This year, Diamond and his new squeeze Tanasha have been showing the world that they are the ‘it’ couple.
Diamond Platnumz has even gone as far as promising Tanasha he would never cheat on her.
Zari has already warned Tanasha in many vague and cryptic messages about the type of man that Diamond is.
Don’t forget that the main reason the two split up was that she felt that his cheating had gone too far. She also felt that she needed to respect herself and set an example for her children.
My question is if Zari could not keep Diamond (the panty whisperer, the panty dropper, the lion from Tandale ) from cheating, then what chance does Tanasha have?
Why would I say that? Zari did everything possible to keep the two together. Like:
She was a great mother
Call Zarina anything you want but one thing people can’t deny her is that she was/is a great mother. I know, I know, some of you will say that this isn’t important. I think it is. Very.
She supported Diamond early in his career
The socialite was a big influence in Diamond’s embracing and use of social media. Now the musician boasts a huge following on his Instagram page to the tune of 6.6 million followers, an avenue he uses to advertise his music and brands that he is promoting.
She was very respectful to the singer for much of their relationship
The mother of 5 tried to honour her man for much of their relationship until the signs that his cheating would not stop, became too much to ignore. Yes, Diamond says that she also cheated on him with Peter of P-Square and her gym instructor.
Whether or not that claim is true, she at least kept her sh!t undercover, unlike him with his illicit affair with Hamisa Mobetto.
The reasons I have listed above are some of the biggest reasons that should ordinarily keep a man from straying.
They are duty-bound by notions of loyalty and honour to the woman that is treating them and their progeny with respect.
So could ‘great guava’ make up for all the reasons above to keep a man from cheating?
But only for a short time.
Studies have shown that a man’s inherent biological prime directive is to sleep with as many women as possible.
The reason many men stay polygamous is they are bound by things like religion, moral beliefs, a lack of choices or the biggest one, shame.
In Diamond’s case, I don’t think he much cares about any of the deterrents I have mentioned.
Do you think he will sheath his mjulubeng now that he has Tanasha?
Nah! I don’t think so, even with his 1001 promises which I do believe he means from the bottom of his heart.
The Boy from Tandale can’t keep his zip up, because it is inextricably tied to who he is and what makes him tick; his identity.
What do you think?
