Manchester United star Ryan Giggs' £2million mansion has been targeted by vandals who spray-painted 'cheating t**t' along its giant fence.

Police were called to the six-bedroom mansion in Greater Manchester after the words 'I hope she was worth it' were daubed on his gate along with 'Welsh c**t' after it was revealed his wife Stacey, 37, was leaving him because of his womanising.

A team is desperately trying to scrub away the expletives but it could take all day because the words stretch the length of the large fences surrounding his exclusive home.

The vandals decided to spray-paint along the length of the exclusive boulevard in Worsley, meaning vitriol aimed at the retired footballer also appears outside several other mansions.

Stacey Giggs had stood by the former Manchester United player and now assistant manager, even after he had an affair with his brother’s wife and paid for her to abort his child.

But it appears the final straw was allegations he showered a PR girl with lavish gifts including flowers and designer handbags.

The footballer, 42, also spent £150,000 on a controversial legal battle to hush up his affair with a glamour model.

But it has now emerged that his wife now wants a divorce, and he stands to lose half his £40million fortune.

It is not clear who has done the graffiti, but one tag included a hint that it was a Manchester City fan - United's bitter rivals.

Giggs is facing claims he struck up a ‘flirty’ friendship with a PR girl while his marriage fell apart.

Friends of Kate Greville, 32, said the retired professional footballer showered her with flowers and designer handbags after she helped him with his hotel venture.
