Miss Idah Nguma, the outgoing Miss World Kenya had great words for the incoming beauty queen, Charity Mwangi. She thanked God for seeing her through her time as the queen. Over her reign, Idah Nguma engaged in several campaigns, including Smile Train and Ahadi Kenya's initiatives.

With Smile Train, she raised awareness about cleft lip and cleft palate and helped many children get free corrective surgeries. With Ahadi, she participated in the anti-gigger campaigns across the country. She represented Kenya at the Miss World finals in China where she was top 7 in the world. The title was taken by Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss.

Idah was also among the Mpasho Top 25 Under 25 Most Promising Women in Kenya. We do wish her the best in her immediate future endeavors!

"Last night as I crowned the new Miss World Kenya,it reminded me of how amazing an opportunity I had had over the year and I couldn't have wanted it any other way.Ups and down, glitz and glamour challenges all encompassed together in a bid to let me serve my purpose wholly as the queen I am.How grateful I am to God as He is above all the very reason of our existence and gave me this mission knowing wholly I could handle it :-)Not to forget family and Friends,my pillars of strength all along. How would I have done it without you?

Universal real concepts and Miss World Kenya Franchise,I thank you as well for giving us young girls such a wonderful platform which plays a major role in our transition to great women of the society, every young lady deserves such at some point in her life.

Cleft lip and palate patients,my everyday motivation, waking up everyday knowing my actions could simply give somebody a smile, transform their life psyched me up in ways I couldn't comprehend :-)Isn't a leader driven by having the best interests of those he serves at heart?I will keep restoring smiles, all over the world(So help me God)

Glad to have served my nation, changed lives and left a mark undoubtedly knowing I made a difference and impacted positively in one way or another.

@Charity Mwangi, you are a very capable lady and I trust you'll carry the crown with pride and leave a legacy beyond what I began ..I am not worried about you at all, congratulations!

The crown is worn on the head but the real crown resides in the heart, mine will always be there. Sometimes the end marks the beginning.Once a queen, always a queen.
