Grace Ekirapa is a woman with many inspiring stories to tell. This weekend she added another one on her social media page.

The yellow-yellow Crossover host spoke about the struggles and troubles she had growing up. She did so on in four short clips that she posted on her Instagram page titled Finding hope away from Depression and Suicide.

Ekipara disclosed that when she was younger she was depressed, surrounded by negativity and attempted to end it all by taking her own life. Her caption was:

Doing this video was really not easy. It brought with it a lot of emotions because here I was again unwrapping a past that was not pretty, however, as I let you all in on a little of my life’s journey, I hope somebody finds hope and restoration because there is definitely hope and Jesus is still Lord. So, Finally some parts of the video on Depression and Suicide. The full video will be uploaded on my YouTube page but you can also check my IGTV. Stay blessed and stay happy.

In one of the videos she discloses:

I believe that depression has a cure. It’s nothing that cannot be dealt with but suicide is also tied to depression so for us to stop suicide we have to deal with depression. I am talking from experience because, a lot of people don’t know this, but when I was in class eight, I attempted suicide.

She added more to her shocking revelation:

I took 18 pills, I was on some antibiotics, I was unwell and at one time I got to a point and said you know what I’m going to take them all the medicine that I had. 18 pills.

That was not the end of her suicide attempts:

Form three again I decided I’m going to do the same and I took 35 pills this time, because 18 didn’t kill me so 35 will, and you know what people did not understand why a 17 year-old would be committing suicide, a 14 year-old would commit suicide.
