Police in Kitale are investigating the death of a street boy who is suspected to have hanged himself at Lions area in Kitale town.

Kwanza sub county police commander Alphonse Kimani told KNA that the body of the14 year old street boy who is known to the public for operating around ‘One Tanna’ building in Kitale town was found dangling on a tree at Lions stage in Kitale town.

According to the sub county police boss, no injuries were found on his body but three rolls of bhang were found in his jacket pocket and a face mask.

The body was found in a forest next to Lions stage near the county referral hospital Thursday.

He also confirmed that there was no suicide note left behind but police have commenced investigations to ascertain if he really killed himself.

The body was removed to Kitale county referral hospital mortuary.
