Singer Avril has been at Coke Studio Africa studios hanging out with her fellow artistes. She'll be in this season's sessions alongside Nigerian rapper M.I. The two are definitely a powerful combination considering the two have had a considerable mileage of success in their careers.

M.I., who is also the current CEO of Chocolate City has won numerous high profile awards. They include Best Rap Album in the 2009 HipHop world Awards, Musician of the Year in the 2010 Malaysian African Entertainments Awards and Best New Act in the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards.

Singer Avril on the other hand has won Best Boomba Artist Kisima Awards (2013), Best Female Artist Chaguo la Teeniez (2011) and (2012) and Best Female Artist Nzumari Awards (2010).

This year's Coke Studio will also the likes of Kenyan rapper Wangechi and Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee.
