On Thursday, I hosted South African Rapper K.O for an interview. He's been in East Africa for a media tour and looking for potential collaborators to work with. K.O. is known for his smash hit, "Cara Cara," which has been receiving massive airplay in the country and across Africa. He says that while conceptualizing the song in the studio, he thought of giving it a retro feel. That's where the video came from; the VW Vans which used to be the thing back in the 90's.

The song has had 2 million views now.

The rapper, who is affiliated to the MTV VMA award-winning AKA is in talks with several artists and spotting new talent. Their collaboration is one of the most played Hip Hop songs on the continent.

The rapper, has also worked with Tanzanian singer on his love song "Nobody But Me."

"I'm engaged in different conversations with a few artists from here. There's obviously the guys who are currently killing everything...these are Sauti Sol. I'm happy to link up with one of the homies that I'm performing with tonight...King Kaka who's doing some dope stuff. There's also another dude, I heard his record on the way from the airport; Octopizzo," he said.

When I asked him about what he thinks about Octopizzo's style, he had this to say:

"He's abstract. I only heard one song but he had a nice groove to it and the way he approached it was impressive and I'll sure check out more and more stuff," he added.

He says that Kenyan women are adorable. That's what he felt when he landed; apart from being impressed by the infrastructure and warm welcome from his hosts, he spotted some 'eye candy.'

"African ladies are beautiful everywhere. Regardless of the tone, complexion, everything you know. So, I've been blessed enough to see what Tanzania has to offer and on this side I've seen some eye candy - which is beautiful. I like the humility...just be humble. That's what works for me.
