SONU Chairman Babu Owino recently wrote to the US Ambassador to Kenya, demanding that President Obama visit the University of Nairobi, claiming that some students have threatened to commit suicide if Obama declines to do so.(Read the letter on the story below)
President Uhuru Kenyatta yesterday met SONU's Babu Owino during the official launch of the Japan - Kenya Conference on Infrastructure, where he termed his letter to Obama as "rubbish". He however invited him and other student leaders to state house.
Babu might have decided to pass by Skylux Lounge to console himself, now that it's clear that President Obama might not exactly visit the University of Nairobi after all.
