In Kenya, we all know about the philanthropy and charity work associated with some celebrities like Nameless, Jaguar, Cecilia Mwangi, Mike Sonko, Octopizzo, Julie Gichuru, James Mwangi, Janet Mbugua, Maina Kageni, Daddy Owen and Manu Chandaria among others. In the course of their charitable engagements, they earn respect and honour as well.

Internationally, we have celebs whose work is never done when the performance ends. Hollywood hunk George Clooney, for instance, has often had the reputation for “international playboy” but he is one of the most charitable celebrities. He donates to many charity organizations helping to fight homelessness, hunger, and provide disaster relief.

Oprah Winfrey has done impressive charity work regarding humanitarian issues, civil equality, disaster relief, and research for diseases. She also focuses on child abuse, rape prevention, education and the environment.

John Legend’s charity work mainly pertains to fighting horrendous conditions faced by poverty stricken areas of Africa.

Legendary Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney donates millions upon millions while working with over 90 different organizations like Greenpeace, War Child, Everyone Matters, PETA, Humane Society International, Animal Defenders International and American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign.
