Dr Esther Nafula Nekesa has said that her patient Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko is still on bed rest hence he could not appear in court.

Sonko was to appear at a Voi court after he was charged for assaulting a police officer during his arrest weeks ago.

In a letter written by his doctor, the flamboyant politician is still on medication.

Dr. Esther Nafula Wekesa a Palliative Care and Pain Management Specialist in her progress report wrote,

'Mike mbuvi Sonko is a patient currently under my care.

He was admitted to  with a diagnosis of Hypertensive Urgency, soft tissue injury to the left chest wal bdaterai hip osteoarthnes.

He had no previous history of hypertension. He was started on antihypertensives and analgesics and later discharged to continue with treatment at home.'
