Mike Sonko can go to every end to showcase his flamboyancy. Complete with pounds of glittering bling-bling, a bizarre hairstyle, gold-plated fleet of luxury cars and a hoard of gun-brandishing bodyguards, the Nairobi senator has literally made his trademark. He is a man at the top of his game!

Now, as politicians lay down their strategies for the forthcoming 2017 General Election, Sonko doesn't want to be left behind. He is leaving nothing to chance, in his show-game, to convince the people of the city in the sun, that he is a decent and well-mannered "boy" to be trusted with the management of Nairobi city come next year.

Apart from taking up some "decency" by shaving off his dyed hair, Sonko has also been forced to give up all his "liked and valued" bling and he now wants to DONATE it to somebody who will not wear it only at night.

"Stress sana... This kiti ya Governor iko na maneno kweli. Style za kushave nilichange sasa ni decent. Kuvaa bling zangu za zamani nikakaziwa mpaka nazivaa usiku... weekend pekee yake... mpaka sasa nataka kuzidonate."

After his post on Facebook earlier this morning, Nairobians were on his case like a tsetse fly on Samburu cattle! Look at what some of his "fans" told him...

"My Senator.. Hii si stress mbaya.. Ati kuvaa bling hiyo ni stress kweli? Kuna watu wana stress... How to pay rent, school fees, buy food, clothes... getting a job and so on. Thank God for your type of stress.... You have my vote for governorship... Think of ways to make our city the very best... Stress za bling si stress," wrote Greys Silver.

Faras Olaad also tore into Sonko saying: "Wewe mjuaji sana. Fanya kazi yako ya kuwakilisha maskini sio kuonyesha ati mavazi zako ni dhahabu na diamond."

Sonko was once kicked out of Parliament in 2011 for his "gangsta-like" appearance!
