Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has joined millions of Kenyans in celebrating his dad on fathers day, and also himself for being a great father.

Although Sonko's dad passed away a few years ago, he still holds the memories they had.

Taking to his social media he wrote

'A HAPPY FATHERS DAY to everyone. I take this opportunity to thank God for making me a father figure to many.

I dedicate this special day to my late Father GIDEON Kioko Mbuvi Kivanguli, whenever I was stranded he was there for me to help me out.

To the rest of the Fathers in Nairobi, May The Almighty God bless you and the work of your hands for also being fathers to many people.'

He was also quick to say a quick prayer for Kenyans

'Oh Lord I also come to you as our overall Father. Father to all the world. Father to the fatherless. Grant our nation peace and love.

Despite the current covid-19 Pandemic,Heal those affected and comfort those who lack.'

Adding

'Scatter all the cartels and our enemies in different directions for you are our only Father I am relying upon to win this war.

Father Bless the humble, the poor and all the Great people of Nairobi and all Kenyans wherever they are, For they are your people.

Father despite the many challenges I am undergoing, Guide me to serve them.

Fill me with wisdom and courage.

To fulfill your will. For the book of 1 Corinthians 10:13 says: No temptation has overtaken you that is not conman to man.

God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide a way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Enjoy the rest of your day.'
