Radio Africa's newest kid on the block, Smooth FM will be hosting lovers of jazz music at their inaugural Acoustic Nights.

This is an amazing musical night that takes you on a journey through music using instruments, vocal or unplugged format.

The headlining acts for the inaugural event are Aaron Rimbui and Kanji Mbugua. Smooth FM will be hosting acoustic night events monthly, every first Thursdays of the month at The Social House's INCA rooftop bar.

The first event will be tomorrow, Thursday 12, 2020.

The event targets a more mature audience who want a memorable night out with their friends, family or spouse.

Aaron Rimbui started his career as a music director playing for Eric Wainaina then recorded his first album Keys Of Life.

Rimbui has performed in many top festivals like Jahazi Jazz Festival and later Dar Jazz Event.

He recorded his sophomore album titled Alfajiri then continued with his festival performances at Safaricom Jazz Festival.

Kanjii Mbugua is a great admirer of Stevie Wonder, Johnie Clegg, Fred Hammond and Israel Houghton all for their mastery of blending incredible songwriting and performance.

Locally, he credits Chris Adwar for his phenomenal songwriting, Aaron for the dedication to his craft, Eric Wainaina and Rufftone for their achievements as artistes.

The next episode of the Acoustic Nights, will feature Atemi who is one of the most prolific vocal artistes of our generation.

Her music is clean and ranges in genre from neo-soul to jazz to afro-pop.

Her single ‘Bebi Bebi’ made great waves on radio and is currently one of Kenya's favourite love songs.

To sum up, this will be an event you can't afford to miss.

Come one! Come all!
