Comedian Sleepy David escaped an attack by university students recently outside Anniversary towers. The Churchill Live star was accosted by drunk university students who demanded cash from him.

“The university students attacked me demanding that I pay them some money from an event I had performed at their school over a year ago,”

Sleepy told Grace Kerongo,

“I told them, I cannot give them any money because the only person I recognize and know from their school is the club president who I dealt with at that time.”

Sleepy’s explanations fell on deaf ears as the inebriated students started shoving him.

“Luckily the security of the building restrained them. This money they were demanding dates back to an event that took place a year ago. At the event, I asked the organisers to pay me with a cheque. I don’t want my brand to be associated with kickbacks but the whole altercation is a misunderstanding. One person’s mistake doesn’t brand the whole institution as bad.”
