A Kenyan father identified as Dan Briphith on Facebook is mourning the death of his new-born twins. Dan and his wife welcomed two sons on 17 September this year at around 8:46 am at least according to his social media posts.
He went ahead to share the great news with his followers, but little did he know that they were not going to survive.
"I'm a father again thank you, Lord."
This saw many congratulate him and his wife for their bundles of joy but a few hours later, they passed on. Dan took to Facebook to break the sad news at exactly 3:17pm the same day leaving many heartbroken.
"It's so unfortunate that the ongoing doctors strike has cut short my happiness..... Rip my twins"
Adding;
"Sleep well my boys till we meet again u were not meant to be with me"
This is just among the many cases of patients dying due to nurses and doctors strike and the question is, will the mortality rate reduce in Kenya even after the launch of the Beyond Zero campaign?
