Richest Kenyan singer Akothee is living large. The mother of five, who has had a tough past has worked hard and we are proud of her. The Sweet Love hit maker is very influential and she has managed to gain thousands of follows across the globe.

Well, if Akothee is not globe-trotting promoting her music, she is busy flaunting her wealth and 'advising' women on how to go about this life.

The daughter from Rongo County seems to have turned into a counselor and of late, she has been bashing as well as offering pieces of advice to the so called slay queens, who she describes as just overrated for nothing! Akothee is not happy with these type of women. She claims they have dropped the ball and no longer embrace their traditions. They are influenced by western culture.

"When you hear them say , 'I cant cook with jiko', yet they were brought up with mawe tatu (THREE COOKING STONES)  just upgraded yesterday, as for me, I cook with jiko for food that needs more than 15 minutes, gas is for emergency & light food, I enjoy the process of kuongeza makaa na kupepeta ,na kungeore hapo , life is more than just slaying ???, #akothmyfirstwife the only girl who has refused to leave the village", Akothee posted on social media .

The post elicited mixed reactions amongst Akothee's followers and here are some of the comments;

Brenda: True story, 90% of these divas in Nairobi wakirudi ushago ni mawe tatu system. Lakini Nairobi hata hawawezi kula smokies mwitu.

Cynthia: Same women who say they can't cook with jikos and yet makaa ya shisha haiwezi zima akiwa hapo!

Nana: She likes copying what Zari does. If u r a follower of Zari on Instagram u will agree with me.

Portia: Why are you wearing that awful demeaning dress that was worn by servants during colonial times serving their white masters?? Humility doesn't mean going to such lengths. I would have appreciated a normal dress or jeans and a blouse. Whatever you say that standard house girl uniform is horrendous. It was a tradition started by plantation masters in the South USA when they had their negro servants wear it. A custom then continued by British colonial masters. Some things should be left in the annals of history so that we can progress.

Vivian: Mad love for my lovely lady. That's what an African woman is all about. Hakuna mapararira ya jikoni.

Luke: Enyewe mtu akizeeka hurudi kua ka mtoto. si uko na utoto na ujinga.. hadi umevaa uniform za kindergartens!! Am suspecting your brain too is wrapped in a diaper !

Emily: I said goodbye to the jiko more than 10 years ago when I discovered that gas is cheaper than kerosene or charcoal. I have perfected the art of soaking cereals and using the pressure cooker. And I am a broke-ass, so I figured the necessary hacks for my life and bought it.

Wanjeri: I just love your attitude towards life Akothee...

Joshua: Ladies are strange- they will even wear an apron just to boil water for rice! Akothee wacha drama- show me your workout pics!
