Secular singer Akothee recently confessed that she's saved and the angels in heaven must be rejoicing. In an interview with Mpasho.co.ke, she said:

EVER SINCE I CAME FROM TURKANA I’M A NEW PERSON.

PEOPLE SEE ME DO GOSPEL IN THE MORNING AND DON’T KNOW WHAT THIS YEAR CAME WITH. I GOT SAVED. BUT I WON’T CHANGE MY DRESS CODE. I CAME OUT OF MY MOTHER’S WOMB NAKED.

Well, on 23 January 2017, Akothee shared a photo of herself posing with a guitar accompanied by a deep caption. She was contemplating quitting the secular industry and joining gospel music.

She wrote:

sijui mda Huu niimbe tuu gospel niokoke niachane na mambo ya dunia ? lakini nikiachana na dunia nitaishi wapi mie AKOTH. ? NA sioni njia yoyote ya kubadili mavazi au tabia yangu yoyote , waona inawezekana kweli? basi ungependa niingie kanisa gani maana Sda hawapendagi ujingare.

Loosely translated to:

Should I start singing gospel this time round and leave behind worldly things? But if I quit secular music where will I live? I don't see myself changing my ways and dress code as well. Do you think it can be possible? Which church do you want me to attend because Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Are very strict?

A local daily reached out to Size 8 for a comment on Akothee's thoughts after she shared the post (above) and she poured out her heart.

The Mateke hitmaker was quoted saying:

I used to be a secular artiste before getting born again and I know the dilemma of trying to hold on there but I am asking Akothee to come to Jesus. In fact, who knows, she could even become more famous and earn more like I am doing since I got born-again.

Adding:

Akothee should not worry about her dressing or even going to church as God will fix that once she declares salvation. Besides, if she wants to sing gospel, she should know that gospel songs are a testimony, they should be inspired by God.

Size 8's wish or rather prophesy has come true and many are mesmerized.

She later shared a powerful verse on her social media accounts which read:

God I will praise you forever for in you I find love ,grace, mercy and peace. In a world full of hate, selfishness and evil I ran to you. Who be like my God. The world is full of your wonderful works your beauty is in your creation. Glorious God be praised.
