It's Friday and I don't know about you but for most of my friends and I, we love to get together in the evening at our neighborhood, play some video games or shoot some hoops basketball and maybe have a candid discussion on what's been up. It's usually fun times because we share and laugh at ideas that come along ...but today's going to be a little different and I'm looking forward to it.

Doing a hike to Mount Kilimanjaro has been on my mind for the last few months. I'd love to scale the heights of Africa's tallest mountains and have a view of the world from the snow capped Uhuru Peak. I'm sure the summit will be beautiful.

...so today, I'm going to share this dream with my friends. I've rehearsed what I'll say and how I'll say it and I'm certain that because they're used to us doing things within the norm, they'll simply laugh about it.

However, I'm mentally prepared. I know what I want. I am passionate about travel. I am stubborn about my passion and I want to . I've been doing some reading and I came across a fantastic article on which I must share with you. When you read this, you'll understand why I'm burning (...and you'll probably want to join me on my quest to conquer Kilimanjaro. I might pay your expenses if you're nice to me by the way!)

Here are reasons why you should ignore everyone and follow your dreams:

1. The only “yes” you need to follow your dreams is yours.

2. You’ll regret it later in life, and if you’re delaying it, you’ll question yourself why didn’t you do it sooner.

3. Not following your dreams makes you feel unaccomplished. Eventually, this will stop you from dreaming altogether.

4. It will attract some attention, even from the naysayers and haters. You will feel strong as you prove the naysayers wrong. Life feels more memorable, hence you feel and become more memorable.

5. People who follow their dreams are doers. Doers have more power to create, influence, and change their environment… and eventually the world.

6. Following your dreams might take unexpected turns, but those are the interesting and memorable challenges of living the dream.

Challenges will help you grow as they make you step out of your comfort zone. As Walter Bagehot said; “The great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.”

Looking forward to my chat with my friends. I know what to expect but I'm solid. I'm ready to follow my passion. How about you?
