The Kenyan media industry has seen rapid growth since independence. As the days go by, new media houses are born hence creating more employment opportunities. Many have come and left the industry but new talent continues to be registered. A good example of such fresh talent is Citizen TV's Tom Wanjala.

Referred to as " Mwakazi wa Citizen Nipashe" by his fans, he is without a doubt one of the most fluent Swahili reporters around. In such a short time he has been able to create a huge following for himself. Apart from excellent presentation skills, there's the other side of this talented man that many do not know of.

No, he is neither a dead beat dad nor a spendthrift; he is a journalist cum model. When he is not on screen, he is always out there doing something else. The fitness model has featured in some print and tv adverts and will soon be starring in an EABL advert. He has also done runway modeling. Wanjala also does commercial voice overs.
