Had the government listened, maybe, just maybe, the Naivasha accident that claimed the lives of 40 Kenyans could have been avoided.

Popular blogger Wahome Thuku has been nicknamed "Prophet" and he is quickly gaining followers online after predicting the tragic accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.

In a Facebook post dated February 14, Wahome told Kenyans to "expect horrible accidents and start preparing for a fatal crash" after the government erected two bumps on the hill.

According to him, the bumps posed a big risk reason being motorists using the route were forced to "cut their speeds from 100kph to 10kph in seconds to go over the bumps."

But Wahome is not alone. Apparently, quite a number of netizens foresaw the tragedy, but unfortunately no one heeded to their warnings.

On April 23, 2016, Duncan Ondimu sent out a series of tweets to KENHA warning them about the impeding disaster because of the illegal bumps erected on the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.

And as usual, no one cared to listen.
